A Covenant invitation to share the pulpit and celebrate the gifts God has given
March Into Those Pulpits
The Evangelical Covenant Church has long been committed to living faithfully under the authority of the whole of Scripture, listening together for how the Spirit calls and equips the church for ministry. For the past 50 years, this commitment has included affirming the call of women to ordained ministry. March Into Those Pulpits is a warm and hopeful invitation offered during the month of March, Women’s History Month, to those entrusted with the care and leadership of the pulpit.
This year, March has five Sundays, offering all of us a unique opportunity to use one or more of them to share our pulpits with women who preach the Word. Rooted in our Covenant commitment to be people of the Word, this is a simple, tangible way to embody our shared commitment to recognize and to celebrate the gifts that God has already given to many of the women among us.
Therefore, we are asking our pastors, men and women alike, to prayerfully consider inviting a woman to preach in your church during one or more of those March Sundays. Rooted in our Covenant commitment to be faithful to the whole of Scripture, this initiative reflects our denominational understanding that God calls and equips women and men alike to preach the gospel. As we listen together to the Word and to one another, we strengthen the body of Christ and bear witness to the grace at work among us.
ACCW March Pulpit Supply Raffle — MW 2026
The ACCW March Pulpit Supply Raffle creates opportunities for women clergy to share their voices, expand their ministry reach, and build connections across conferences. Five winners will be selected, and each winner will receive a two-hundred-dollar honorarium sponsored by ACCW. The hosting church in the winner’s local conference is encouraged to match the honorarium.
Eligibility is open to all attendees of the MW ACCW Luncheon and Annual Meeting. Board members are not eligible.
If a selected winner is already leading or assisting a church, the honorarium must be passed to another woman clergy. If a male clergy member is selected, the honorarium will be awarded to a woman clergy.
Participants are invited to amplify their voice in new congregational spaces, expand their network and ministry connections, and support sisterhood by uplifting women in clergy leadership.

This raffle is more than a prize. It is a movement. Together, we strengthen opportunities for women to lead, preach, and inspire across the church.
